Knowledge & selection guide

Measure pressure. Find the right instrument.

Read pressure at the machine, record measurements or send a signal to a controller: your task determines the right instrument. Explore mechanical gauges, digital instruments and pressure transmitters at messbo.

Three ways to measure

Read mechanically

A dial shows pressure without a battery. A practical choice for local checks on pipes, pumps and machinery.

Measure & record digitally

A digital display makes readings easy. Depending on the model, additional features include selectable units, data logging or Bluetooth.

Use an output signal

A pressure transmitter sends readings to a controller or evaluation system. Its output and power supply must match the installation.

Narrow down your selection

Start with the medium and its temperature. Then consider the measuring range, possible pressure peaks, required accuracy and process connection. Mounting position, vibration and documentation needs also affect the choice.

A differential-pressure version measures between two points and is manufactured for the application. The connection and diaphragm options for digital gauges and transmitters are factory configurations, not retrofit kits for self-installation.
